Juntamente com Deborah Bird Rose e Elizabeth DeLoughrey, foi coeditor fundador da revista <\/span><i style=\"font-weight: inherit;\">Environmental Humanities<\/i><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\"> (Duke University Press).<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-size: 14.4px;\">Concluiu a sua licenciatura (com distin\u00e7\u00e3o) na Universidade Nacional Australiana (2003) e o seu doutoramento na Faculdade Fenner de Ambiente e Sociedade, tamb\u00e9m na ANU (2007). H\u00e4gglund defende que os himaos devem viver a sua vida de acordo com a sua condi\u00e7\u00e3o existencial, e comprometer-se a prestar uma aten\u00e7\u00e3o cada vez maior a esta vida. Mas outros animais partilham desta mesma condi\u00e7\u00e3o de finitude com os humanos, uma condi\u00e7\u00e3o que \u00e9 acentuada em tempos  de pandemia e crise ecol\u00f3gica.
